THE ITINERY (in english)
We'll leave from Milan towards our 1st stop: Cairo (Egypt), its 3 pyramids of Gizeh and the Big Sphinx, specially the great pyramid of Khéops (great pyramid of Gizeh), built by Khéops wich is a member of 7 wonders of antique world. Cairo is the biggest city of Africa and the Middle East.
In South Africa, we organized a Safari 4x4 of 6 days in the Kruger National Park, (which is the biggest animal reserve of South Africa).
From our arrival to Mumbay ( Bombay) in India, we'll fly to Jaipur, and will take the train direction the "Taj Mahal" which means "Palace of the crown" and which is situated in Agra.
In Bangkok we will go fast to our preferred restaurant "Le Lemongrass" on Sukkumvit road for their fantastic Tom Yam Kung as well as them delicious Chicken green curry!!
Finally, the visit of the Royal Palace, something you shouldn't miss while visiting Bangkok.
In Beijing (Pekin), the visit of the Great Wall, the place Tian'anmen and the Forbidden City is on the program.
We will stay in the center of a HUTONG ( historic district) to benefit from a unique experience of the traditional Chinese lifestyle.
For Japan... some last minute changes!!! Seen the current disaster in Japan, we will change Tokyo for Osaka and Kyoto more in the South.
I made a reservation in a Ryokan wich is typical in Japan. Ryokan is constituted with typical materials: wood, bamboo, paper partitions, and sliding doors. We sleep on a futon prepared in the evening by the cleaning lady.
In a Ryokan, the tradition is that we remove the shoes before entering, (there are slippers), and we have to wear the " Yukata " (indoor clothes) it's a cotton kimono with blue and white motives.
Then, we'll go to Cairns in Australia, and from there, we rented a big mobilhome, (with shower, toilets, lounge, room, TV .. it's very common in Australia to visit the country), to go to Sydney, total 2431km, we'll pass true the rain forest, the village Kuranda which is famous for its small crafts, its aboriginal Handcrafts and the attractions such as the Sanctuary of the Butterflies, the Garden of Koalas and the world of birds.
After that, we'll drive down the Great Barrier Reef which is the biggest coral reef of the world it's 2600km longer, the Great Barrier Reef counts more than 2000 islands.
The cliff is considered as the biggest alive structure on Earth. It sometimes called "The biggest animal living on the world".
We'll have the privilege to make a scuba diving in this beautiful place.
The following stage will be New Zealand, country of Kiwis (formerly called currant of China, it is in 1953 when the New Zealanders called it "kiwi", the hairy skin reminding the one of the bird of the same name).
We'll stay in Auckland, situated on the island of the North, which is the biggest urban zone of the country and also the most populated city. It is the only city in the world who is situated at the edge of 2 different seas: the sea Tasman and the Pacific Ocean, it's also called "City of Sails" because of its thousand of sailing boats.
Auckland also have the largest number of persons of polysienne origin that quite other city of the world, they are called "Maori" (mean simple people by opposition to the Gods, they are the first ones to have populated the Piece of news-zélande), we also find a strong population of Asian and European.
The Rugby World Cup in XV of the 2011 will take place from September 9th till October 23rd is less than a month after our passage, that promises a good atmosphere!!
The French polynésie, Tahiti will be the next stage, this island is the biggest and most populated islands of the French Polynesia, it is a part of the group of the Windward Islands and of the Société Archipelago.
Papeete ( the capital) and Moorea (the sister island), we welcome us for 6 days and we'll have the opportunity to dive into "passes" (there is 33) or the current favors the dive with big fishes style tuna, sharks, eagles and the other predators who take advantage of the situation to eat quite which takes place and we will then go to share a moment with dolphins.
Los Angeles, on the American West coast, will be the following stop, we'll rent a car, and will have 10 days of adventure, direction Las Vegas in the Nevada, we'll visit the people Amerindians: Navajos (formerly called Dineh) which live in the reserves of the northeast of Arizona and regions of New Mexico and Utah. They are closely related to the Apache.
We were there a few years ago, and took advantage to discover their small crafts, their custom and their friendly.
We'll go then to the northwest of Arizona, to visit among others the National park of the Grand Canyon. We'll have to find a ranch for the big pleasure of the children!!!
Grand Canyon was dug by the river Colorado in the tray(plateau) of the same name. The park based(established) in 1919, covers a territory protected from 4 927 km2. More than four million visitors visits him(it) every year.
We'll then drive towards Phoenix to get back to the coast, to San Diego and then back to Los Angeles.
Yucatán State (Capital Merida) is situated in the southeast of Mexico and surounded by the Caribbean Sea, will be our stop on " the tracks of the Mayas ", we shall visit the ancient Maya city, Chichén Itzà, who in 2007 was appointed as one of 7 new world wonders thanks to the archaeological wealth of these sites.
Yucatàn has all the attractions of Mexico. There are the beautiful fine sand beaches as Playa del Carmen, but there are also archeological sites from the Mayas (peoples of the sun).
We will leave Mexico to go to Costa Rica (Capital San Jose). We go directly towards the National park of Tortuguera by bus and by boat.
Then, returned to the USA, in Miami, we'll visit the Everglades, crocodile farms in the Indian Reservation, sip a glass of Chardonnay in my prefered "art deco" hotel: the Betsy on "Sobe" (South Beach).
And we will finish our world tour by New York.
